Early Science with Nico and Nor
Early Science with Nico & Nor is a science curriculum based on the Next Generation Preschool Science research project funded by the National Science Foundation. The apps and activities were designed and tested for preschool classroom and at-home use.
NGPS is a multi-year project that focuses on teaching preschoolers about plants, ramps, and shadows through classroom and at-home games and activities. In total, we created 5 apps, a teacher guide, and a family guide to help introduce science and engineering to young learners.
Areas of Focus
My areas of focus included creating various visual components in the style of the Nico & Nor brand, working closely with producers and developers on wireframes and overall game structure, communicating with stakeholders throughout the course of the project, researching preschool educational standards, and user play testing with kids.
